When’s the last time you tested your ultrasonic cleaner?
Over time, even the best systems lose their edge, and that can lead to contamination and damaged equipment. If it seems like your ultrasonic is no longer providing the deep clean your instruments need, it’s time for a foil test.
Here’s how: Suspend a few strips of aluminum foil in your ultrasonic, and run a cycle. Look for uniform pinholes and depressions on the foil – a sign of effective cavitation. If you see inconsistent erosion or undamaged areas, that means it’s time to service your unit or upgrade to a new system.
Order your foil test kit (part number: FT1) from COLTENE today.
“After practicing for nearly 35 years, I’ve come to realize how important a reliable, well-built ultrasonic cleaner is to a busy dental practice. I switched to BioSonic after numerous failures with my previous unit. Hopefully I never have to purchase another ultrasonic, but if I do, it will be a BioSonic.”
